Sing for Your School

2nd March 2017
In the Autumn term 2016, our Year 5 and 6 classes entered into the Cambridge Evening News 'Sing for Your School' competition. The children had to write their own song to describes life at Bottisham Community Primary. They were given a backing track but had to write their own lyrics and tune which they did with help from Mrs McMahon. The song they wrote is called 'A Big Bottisham Welcome' and uses our school's vision, values and Golden Rules as inspiration. The judges were very impressed and our school was selected, along with with eight others as a winning entry!

The children were invited to take part in a special performance at Cambridge Corn Exchange on 2nd March along with the other winning schools. They did a brilliant job of performing and the highlight of the evening was a film from Michael Rosen sharing his thoughts about how fantastic 'A Big Bottisham Welcome' is! Well done to all the children who took part - you made us very proud - and special thanks to Mrs McMahon for her energy, enthusiasm and fabulous conducting skills!
